It looks like Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt is getting the full HBCU experience and living her absolute best college life. The 18-year-old daughter of actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is currently in her second year at Spelman College. And now, she is one of the newest members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

A video posted on Instagram on Wednesday and captioned, “Ivies Up! The first Black sorority just gained a very familiar face as a member!” shows the 18-year-old wearing a black dress and gloves, introducing herself to the campus along with the rest of her line sisters.

“Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California. I am this line’s number seven,” she says with pride in the video.

Founded on January 15, 1908, on the campus of Howard University, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is the oldest sorority founded by Black college women. The organization currently has over 350,000 initiated members and chapters located in 12 countries around the world.

Zahara was adopted by Angelina Jolie and brought to the United States from Ethiopia when she was seven months antique. The actress has always been outspoken about encouraging all six of her children to connect with their identities and do what makes them elated. And the comments on Zahara’s coming out video praised Jolie for empowering her daughter to do just that.

“S/o to the white parents who ensure their black children get to have cultured experiences. Angelina has always been a humanitarian, so it only makes sense that her children continue in service. love this,” wrote one user.

“When babygirl shook that Afro, I felt the ancestors cheer. Welcome home baby. Welcome home,” another comment read.

As one of the newest members of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Jolie Pitt is in good company. Since its inception, AKAs have been able to brag about a pretty impressive list of members, including actress Phylicia Rashad, author Toni Morrison and our current Vice President Kamala Harris.
