Haven’t made New Year’s plans yet? If you’re in the Little Rock area, Cinema I/O, a local nonprofit “micro-cinema,” is holding a dance party and fundraiser tonight that’s open to all.
It’s at Good Weather, the warehouse / art gallery at 420 Byrd St., near Lost Forty Brewing. Doors open at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
For more details, check out the flyer below or the Cinema I/O website.
Cinema I/O is the project of Omaya Jones, who has long curated the Arkansas Times‘ film series at Riverdale 10, along with a small group of other dedicated volunteers. (Disclosure: Everyone involved is a good friend of mine, and one of them is my girlfriend.) They regularly show films you likely won’t see anywhere else in Arkansas — follow their Instagram or Facebook to get a sense of what they do and for details on upcoming showings at Good Weather or elsewhere in the area. Here’s more from culture editor Daniel Grear last year on Cinema I/O’s launch.
Come on by tonight! It’ll be fun.Credit: Cinema I/O
