Romay Davis was honored at the age of 102 for her service with the the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalio, or the “Six Triple Eight,” during World War II, per NBC. Toward the end of the war, mail sent to U.S. troops were back piled in European warehouses as Allied troops were closing in on Hitler’s Germany.
